Bags, bags, everywhere there's bags!

Messenger Bag

Living with punks has a great tutorial for a messenger bag, and it looks super duper easy!! I can't wait to try it! Click here to find the tutorial.  I think I will make mine with shorter straps, cause that's how I roll. :)

Zippered Organizer Pouch

As a mom on the go, I always have a ton of stuff just "thrown" in the diaper bag.  I am going to make myself this cute zippered pouch for MY stuff!! Click HERE for My Spare Time's tutorial.

Lunch Bags

This is from my all time favorite site, Prudent Baby!  I can literally spend hours on their site.  I found this series of tutorials for lunch bags.  I will be making these as part of gifts for Christmas!  Click HERE for the tutorial

Diaper Bag

I made my very first bag/diaper bag based on this tutorial from Sew Much Ado.  Here is what their's looks like:

And here is a picture of mine:

That's it for now!  Hopr you all are having a great week!

Hello and Welcome!

Hi, my name is Sarah and I’ve been addicted to searching for that perfect tutorial for the past 6 months. I need help!! But seriously, I am addicted to finding all those perfect tutorials to make. I am a self taught sewer. I am my own worst critic. Aren’t we all! I have created a few of my own projects, bought a couple of patterns, and downloaded a few. But the best projects I have done have been ones that I have found on the web with step by step tutorials. No physical pattern to speak of.
Literally one morning I was sitting in bed with my laptop (trust me, that was a very rare occasion! I’ll get into more about me in a few!) searching and searching different tutorials. I realized I had been adding a TON (literally hundreds) of tutorials to my favorites bar in my sewing folder, so now I couldn’t decipher one thing from the next. Then I got this brilliant idea - create a blog with my favorite tutorials. After all I must not be the only one finding myself doing this. Right? Please tell me there are others!!
In this blog I will try my best to credit the appropriate people/blogs, to post accurate links, and to help YOU find whatever it is you need! Feel free to ask me any questions!
Now for a little about me. I am a stay at home mom of two children - Riley is almost 3 and Lucas is almost 1. (they were born on the same day 2 years and 29 minutes apart!!!) Before I had kids I worked as a case manager for kids in therapeutic foster care (amongst other jobs prior to that) and while I loved it, I hated it at the same time. Such an emotionally draining job to say the least! I always knew I wanted to be a SAHM so when I got pregnant (with my then boyfriend of 5ish years) I immediately knew what my future held. And I was so excited! So three years later, a second child later and going on 2 1/2 years married, I find myself BORED out of my mind! Any other SAHM’s feel that way? I love staying home with my kids, don’t get me wrong, but I need something other than baby talk, building blocks and oh let’s learn how to walk! I picked up sewing about 6 months back. I had sewn a tad in the past, but just a blanket or two…so big squares, haha! Since then, I have taught myself sew much (pun totally intended!) about sewing and creating! I love it! I am excited to share with you the tutorials that I find easy/potentially easy/cute/necessary. I will try to post at least twice a week, but my kids keep me B.U.S.Y - BUSY! I don’t claim the rights to anything I post unless I specifically state “I CREATED THIS!” and I don’t claim to have made anything/everything I post. I will try to post pics of what I do make from these tutorials, but I have one problem, I always forget where my camera is! I hope you have sew much fun searching through these tutorials! (And please let me know how I can make this blog better. I am not claiming to be a blogging expert, in fact, besides facebook, I don’t put anything out there on the Internet.)

*Smiles*
Sarah
